The guys who promote this opportunity must have scraped my email from the internet somehow because I found out about it through an out of the blue email. I can’t remember now whether it went through my spam or my primary inbox. Anyway, after checking it out, I decided I’d invest in it. It did appear to make sense and I can tell you now that the actual business model of PSMJ is legitimate.
In my case, to cut a long story short, I didn’t stick with it but it was this product that got me started down the road of looking for ways to make money online.

From what I saw, Paying Social Media Jobs uses misleading and deceptive techniques to get you to buy a low quality Clickbank product for $27. You will never become an expert with such generic and unhelpful training, but then again, you are only paying $27 so why expect to be trained properly right? Anyway, I don’t like it because I just found it to be a complete waste of time and money.

Okay, let’s give you a proper picture of Paying Social Jobs just so you know exactly what’s going on with this product.
The First Step is when you land on the website and are told about the opportunity.
Let’s unpack that…
What You’re Led to Believe…
They tell you all this stuff about how you can get well paid jobs for simple tasks that you don’t need ANY experience to start doing. They say if you’ve used social media before, you can start getting jobs and making good money. (But they promise to provide training anyway).
It’s about being a Social Media Manager meaning that you will be getting hired by businesses to carry out tasks for them. These tasks involve things like promoting their brand on Facebook, YouTube and Linkedin etc.
A lot of companies aren’t on top of their game when it comes to running social media accounts for greater exposure and gaining more leads for their business. That’s why they are open to hiring social media managers.
However, they don’t just hire anyone who can use Facebook! There’s a LOT of skill involved in being an effective and successful social media manager, but Paying Social Media Jobs makes it sound like a piece of cake!
There are some serious skills you’ll need like how to properly run Facebook ad campaigns and YouTube ad campaigns. These things require a lot of tweaking, experience and a reasonable budget. Usually, people screw it up, especially if they are totally new to it because they just don’t have the head for it and so they lose money or at least get very little ROI.
Anyway you are made to think you are going to get all the training and info you require as well and access to the jobs board for free.
You just need to give your email, plus fill in a brief form. But this is a sales funnel. Their next step is to push you into buying something that you weren’t expecting was part of the deal.
After being ‘approved’ in no time to be able to get those jobs, you then find out that unfortunately you have to pay for a Clickbank product for $27 to get started. If you try to escape the page, they downsell it to you for $17.
So, wait, what?! I’m going to pay $27/$17 to get in on a jobs board opportunity with instant approval and start making $175 per day in no time? Oh, and I’ll get all the training I need as well, although apparently, NO experience is required… humm.
Does that sound a bit fishy to you?
Anyway, you are promised training to be a Social Media Manager and a jobs board where you can get instant access to tons of high-paying jobs.
What you Actually Get for your Money:
The two whopping eye-openers here are:
- The training sucks
- There are NO jobs on the Paying Social Media Jobs job board (all jobs are copy and pasted from free online freelance sites)
Well that’s bummer…
But let’s look at the training anyway.
First though, you are offered 2 upsells:
- Social Media Arbitrage – $37
- Launch a Digital Product Business Program – $47
The benefits of these upsells are vague – they’re something along the lines of extra training and more job opportunities.
The Training Modules
You get a couple of shallow training modules if you buy the Paying Social Media Jobs product. But it’s not enough information to really set you up as a proficient Social Media Manager.
The training left me confused and I didn’t really know exactly what I was supposed to do afterwards. It wasn’t step-by-step with tasks or action points to take or any of that. It wasn’t absolutely terrible but it was just general, and not very detailed or helpful.
Here’s the modules anyway:
First Module: About Social Media Managers. This consists in a welcome to the platform and then goes on to explain what a Social Media Manager is. I’d have to say it was pretty generic information that you could soon find yourself for free. This simply isn’t a serious course.
There was also another video about why businesses need Social Media Managers in this age of the internet.
Second Module: Getting Started as a Social Media Manager. This one starts of talking about the pros of being a Social Manager and the type of jobs you can get hired to do.
It stresses the importance of keeping on top of your accounts on social media but again, you aren’t given an actual walk-through or any clear instructions about how to do this.
Third Module: Finding Clients. Here they talk about finding suitable clients to approach, what kind of business owners you should target and how to find and contact them.
Module 4: Advanced Training. A good chunk of this module is about how to run ads on Facebook with the goal of getting leads for your client. Unfortunately, it’s more of a summery on the matter than a full, in-depth peice of training.
Honestly, you won’t gain enough information just by going through these modules if you have NO previous knowledge of what a Social Media Manager is and the kind of skills you need to have to be successful.
Dinky little courses don’t turn people into thriving online entrepreneurs. The reason for this is that if you pay a measly $27 to become a Social Media Manager then you will get a measly course that covers the basics but that’s it. Heck, you couldn’t even buy a decent meal in a restaurant for $27.
Anyway, that’s the training and remember they first said you don’t really need training but you do! So training is given but it’s pretty crap.

The Jobs Board
Remember, you are paying to get access to listings of great jobs that are suitable for you and all high-paying.
That’s part of the incentive to join PSMJ.
Sadly, they don’t provide you access to any jobs!
What they do instead is list jobs from other places on the internet that are all free anyway:
Upwork is a completely different website to Paying Social Media Jobs, and the same goes for Freelancer and Guru.
But as you can see from the image, those are the real places where the jobs are going to come from and you simply don’t need Paying Social Media Jobs to access these sites, let alone should you be paying them to access these random, free listings.
Who Is Paying Social Media Jobs For?
It seems to be for newbies looking for ways to work from home. Any real Social Media Managers out there would probably laugh at this product because it’s obvious that they’re just after your money and the value they actually provide is so low that it’s disgraceful.
Whoever is behind this is preying on people who don’t know what they’re doing but who want guidance on how to make money on the internet.
In truth it shouldn’t be for anyone because what they provide isn’t going to turn you or anyone else into a successful online business owner.

Is Paying Social Media Jobs a Scam??
I think it’s fair to say YES, it is a scam because a) they use deceptive and grossly misleading marketing techniques, and b) aside from the poor quality training, they trick you into paying for a jobs board that is from free sources.
And we’re not even mentioning how the creator is hidden in the ether somewhere.
Someone who really wants to help you succeed should be honest with you for a start. They should advertise what they are actually going to give you, like they do with this program, and then deliver that.
This is NOT what we see with Paying Social Media Jobs.
Sometimes you can smell a scam – their emails are hyped up and often just feel off and sound way too good to be true.
What are the Pros & Cons?
Well, there is one Pro and it’s a great one: this product is sold through Clickbank and therefore, it has a 60 Day money back guarantee. Thank goodness! I refunded it but you know what? They kept sending me emails to buy it again!
So, I unsubcribed form their list and not soon enough.
Cons:
- It’s dishonest about what it is
- It uses deceptive, back-handed techniques to get your money
- It is clearly focused on making money for the owner, NOT on helping you achieve real success online
- The training is short and very low quality
- The jobs board is a joke!
- Etc. (bottom line it doesn’t deliver what it promises on the sales page)
