It was created by a successful online businessman and this review will uncover for you what it’s all about and all the details you need to know. I’m happy to say this is one of only a few programs that I really believe in. So many others out there are super low quality, misleading and scammy, but not this one.

What is Birthday Marketing Formula?
Birthday Marketing Formula is a comprehensive course consisting of 7 modules plus bonuses as well as a piece of software that helps people to build a successful online business in local marketing.
But what’s local marketing?
It’s a way of making money from physical businesses. How it works is that you find and research businesses (they can be located anywhere in the world) such as burger shops, cafés, anything really that you think could do with more online exposure. You have the skills to extend their reach, to bring them more clients and you offer these businesses your services.
The fact is that many physical businesses, even today, do not have much knowledge or skills when it comes to getting exposure online by such things as running ads and gathering leads.
So, what do they do about that?
They pay local marketers to do this kind of thing for them. A local marketer can do things like improve and update a client’s website, make it rank better, run Facebook ads and generally promote the business online with the goal of getting more customers to that business.
The idea is to approach multiple businesses and to work for as many of them as you can manage. Each business pays you good money (usually) and so you could use this strategy to generate a full time income.
The ‘Birthday Card’ Strategy:
Jason Bell teaches a strategy in his course which I thought was very clever and consists in using a piece of software that you can use to design birthday cards.
You then feature these in the ads which you will run for businesses that hire you and you will let people know that they can get a birthday discount. People in the local area of the business will see your ad and there will usually be someone or even a few people who will have a birthday around that time and will take advantage of the discount. But because it’s their birthday, they are likely to spend more than usual anyway which is of course good for the business you are working for.
Personally, I think the software that helps you put birthday cards together isn’t something that you should have to pay for since you can do more or less the same thing using a site like Canva. Canva is mostly free and I use it for my own designs such as site images, YouTube thumbnails and ebook cover designs. It has many features and while there is a pro (paid) version, most things can be done for free. You’d definitely be able to design birthday cards on it for free but anyway, that’s just to point out that you’ll often come across services online that cost a certain amount at one place but which are cheaper or even free elsewhere.
This course is quite pricey, but there are others like it that are more expensive. Another course on local marketing is Bossless Forever by Amie Ball which I’ve also reviewed on this site.
I use Wealthy Affiliate, a program where local marketing is part of training you get as a member. It gives you access to training created by experts, particularly Jay, who is a very successful internet marketer and offers coaching services to both new and advanced internet entrepreneurs but particularly affiliate marketers. As a monthly Premium member of this program, you only need to pay $49 which if compared to so many other courses out there is very affordable.
Who Is Birthday Marketing Formula Created For?
It’s most suitable for people who have a specific interest in local marketing which is one of many ways to make money online. However, broadly speaking, you could say this program is created for anyone who wants to learn skills that will enable them to work online from home or anywhere they want.
Even if you’re new to it, this course will teach you everything you need to get started and grow a business in local marketing.
How Much Will Birthday Marketing Formula Cost Me?
As local marketing courses go, the price for Birthday Marketing Formula is actually one of the cheaper ones out there and it includes the software that you’ll be using to design birthday cards as part of the marketing strategy.
The whole package can be purchased for $697. But if you go through with it and actually start to make progress by getting some clients, it won’t be long before you make that money back and a lot more besides. Jason suggests you charge clients about $500 per month. So you can see how this could build up fairly quickly.
From the $500 per business, per month, only some of this will be spent on each ad so you still get a fair profit.
Is Birthday Marketing Formula a Scam?
No! Sometimes people base whether something is a scam or not based on the price and although I agree it is a little steep, there is a lot of value contained in the course.
Jason Bell doesn’t make a whole load of ridiculous claims like so many other MMO program creators do, not to mention having a list of pricey upsells.
It’s possible there is an upsell or two but I haven’t verified that.
What Are the Pros and Cons of Birthday Marketing Formula?
Here’s some things I like about Birthday Marketing Formula:
- The course teaches a legit business model
- I like how it’s got something that makes it unique (the birthday card strategy)
- Jason Bell seems to be an ethical person and clearly has a lot of experience in local marketing
- Compared to other courses out there on local marketing, this one is affordable
Here’s some things I don’t especially like about Birthday Marketing Formula:
- For me the price is a bit high and I am familiar with a program where you can learn this stuff for a lot cheaper
- Local marketing is quite a challenging thing to get into with all the things and people you have to deal with on a regular basis.
My Concluding Thoughts on Birthday Marketing Formula
If you’ve stuck with me for this review of Birthday Marketing Formula, you’ll know that I think it’s legit in itself and compared to other versions of this type of program, this one is quite reasonable in terms of value for money.
What I will say is given the choice, I wouldn’t go for the local marketing business model because I think it would get pretty demanding and stressful working for these businesses. It may sound quite simple, but there would be a lot of things in this kind of business that would keep me in the mild stress and worry zone. I’m dealing with actual people, actual business, I’m making claims that I can improve their number of clients and ultimately their money. Sure, I may have the skills to do this but in real life, there are so many things that can end up going either wrong or just not the way we thought they would.
I am happy to stick with the affiliate marketing formula taught over at Wealthy Affiliate. As an affiliate marketer, I don’t have to deal with any clients or customers or shipping etc. I really can do everything undisturbed from behind a laptop screen.
But if you are looking to get into local marketing, I do think Birthday Marketing Formula by Jason Bell won’t disappoint if you go through what he teaches and take action. That said, Wealthy Affiliate also teaches local marketing and you will end up paying less as well as having access to in-depth training on affiliate marketing and a network of 2.6+ million members.
