I like this one, Campervan Commissions. So often I come across online income opportunities that are woefully low quality. But after doing a deep dive into Paul Nicholls’ program, I realised that he teaches a very similar blueprint to the one I personally use to make money online. I would still say the platform I joined and am still a member of is superior in many ways but Campervan Commissions is great value for money and will give you a comprehensive introduction to getting started with your own affiliate marketing business.
Paul and His Program, Campervan Commissions
Campervan Commissions was created in 2017 by Paul Nicholls and Trevor Carr. But the main teacher in it is Paul.
Paul was once a carpenter and he liked going on vacations and long weekends in his campervan.
It was while he was traveling around the UK that he started to learn about affiliate marketing and how to do it properly, using SEO.
I like how he didn’t go down the road of trying one get-rich-quick scheme after another. He learned how to build a blog in the make money online niche and write product reviews with affiliate links in the text of his articles.
He claims to have got to a point where he was making an average of $200 per day while “bumming around” in his campervan.
From there he went on to create a training program that would show others how to do the same thing.
Campervan Commissions gives members ‘over the shoulder’ training on affiliate marketing using SEO.
What’s Inside the Campervan Commissions Program?
Inside Campervan Commissions you’ll get an introduction video followed by 5 actual training videos that will cover the basics of affiliate marketing and how to do it the way Paul does.
You also get an extra 2 bonus training videos. One on Advanced Affiliate Marketing and one on Email Marketing.
You get all this for a frontend fee of $12.95. However, there are some upsells which I’ll list later.
Here’s a breakdown of each of these training videos:
- Video 1: This is a fairly short video (just over 15 minutes) but covers a lot. You will learn about building a website with WordPress, domain and hosting, getting an autoresponder and the process and benefits of building a YouTube channel which will enable you to add video content into your blog.
- Video 2: This video is about half an hour long and in it Paul will teach you to find digital products to promote as an affiliate on the WarriorPlus and JvZoo platforms. Specifically, these products will be related to making money online. He doesn’t teach you about other niches or where to get products for them.
- Video 3: Under half an hour long, video 3 focuses on how to write product reviews and rank your website on Google. SEO is about getting organic traffic to your website which means you don’t have to pay for anything or run ads to get traffic. The SEO strategy takes time and Paul is honest about that. But the results are worth waiting for.
- Video 4: This video is about 20 minutes and in it, Paul will talk to you about the effectiveness of offering free bonuses to people when you are selling products. However, he doesn’t go into much detail about how to actually go about doing this.
- Video 5: The final video which is a just over half an hour is about how to integrate YouTube videos into your blog and gather leads for email marketing.
- Bonus video 1: This goes through email marketing strategies that Paul himself uses and involve the use of lead magnets as an incentive for people to give you their email.
- Bonus video 2: You’ll get an abridged version of a more advanced course called Affiliate Mastery, also created by the same people.
While this is all great value for money, still, you get 10 free high quality and in-depth training videos with the Free Starter Membership at Wealthy Affiliate, the program I use and will tell you more about later.
There are some issues I discovered with Campervan Commissions and that’s another thing I’ll be talking about further on.
About the Price and Upsells
As was said earlier, you can get the above training videos for the price of $12.95 but there are an additional 3 upsells.
Upsells:
- DFY email swipes – $27. (A series of professionally written emails you can use for your own email marketing campaigns)
- Resell rights – $67. With this bonus you’ll be able to sell Campervan Commissions and keep 100% of the commissions.
- The full Affiliate Mastery course – $197. Apparently, Affiliate Mastery normally costs $497 and it seems like he’s offering a massive discount if you buy it with Commission Campervan.
Who is Campervan Commissions Created For?
It’s really for anyone. Anyone interested in making money online with affiliate marketing and doesn’t mind learning how to blog and be patient in waiting for results.
I think it’s aimed at newbies who do not have prior experience. More advanced affiliates probably won’t need a program like this.
Pros:
Let’s look at the pros and cons of Campervan Commissions. Here’s what I liked about it:
#1: Affordable and Legit
I like how this program is both affordable and teaches you the real way to do affiliate marketing by learning SEO and putting in work. You then wait patiently for the results which will never be immediate. Most programs out there try to sell by saying that you can make money fast and easily whereas that isn’t in fact the case with online business at all.

#2: Decent Training for a Low Price
I’ll be honest and say that although you’d need more than what he offers to really educate yourself in affiliate marketing, what he’s offering for just over $12 is very good.
He goes into setting up a WordPress website, adding a YouTube channel to your business, capturing leads and email marketing as well as other things.
#3: It’s not a Course in Paid Ads and Doesn’t Recommend Solo Ads
I’m not a fan of those courses that tell newbies that paid ads are the main way to go in affiliate marketing and that they are easy to run. They’re NOT!! You usually just waste your money because paid ads are very tricky to get right.
Paul doesn’t teach you to drive traffic to offers by paying for solo ads from what are called solo ad vendors. The fact is that solo ads are probably the WORST quality traffic on the internet. The clicks you get from solo ads are usually from someone else’s email list and they are people who are always being emailed about various offers all the time.
I think there’s definitely a place for paid ads but that it shouldn’t be what you start off trying to do as a beginner and it shouldn’t be your main source of income unless you’re an absolute pro at it.
Cons:
While I saw some good things about Campervan Commissions and more than I can usually say for most online income opportunities, there are some cons as well which I’m going to list now.
#1: You’re not Told About the Upsells Before you Purchase
It would be nice I think, if you didn’t have to buy the program to find out about the upsells. The price is only $12.95 but once you get access, you can be sure that Paul is waiting there to try to upsell you 3 times.
The upsells themselves do seem fair enough but regarding the first one which is email swipes, I think entrepreneurs should learn to write these themselves. Being successful online means steering away from done-for-you methods which mean that you never really learn basic internet marketing skills.
#2: I Don’t Like the Idea of Selling Low Quality MMO Programs
Paul will show you how to promote make money online (MMO) programs that are sold through WarriorPlus and JvZoo but I have to tell you if you don’t already know that WarriorPlus products suck. Most of them are absolute garbage and won’t really help other people make money online. They tend to be super hyped up with crazy claims and very misleading.
If you’re going to get into the MMO niche then it would be a shame to go down the road of promoting crappy products to people and not actually helping them with your business.
This is a practice that many unethical affiliate marketers employ and people like Jono Armstrong is even open about it. I wrote about him in my Ministry of Freedom Review.
#3: Dated Training
This training was created in 2017 which is quite a while ago now. This business evolves quickly. So far I haven’t been made aware of a single update to the training since it was created.
That said, the core of what he teaches is still relevant to today.
#4: It lacks Its Own Network
You don’t get access to one-one support or a network of affiliate marketers when you purchase Campervan Commissions, unlike Wealthy Affiliate which is the largest affiliate network to date.
Is Campervan Commissions a Scam?
No, it’s not a scam although it does teach you to sell products that are arguably on the low quality side.
The actual method it teaches of using SEO is legit and a good, sustainable business model.
He doesn’t seem to be very misleading like countless other MMO program creators are. But his sales page does feature the odd marketing tactic which usually involves being a bit misleading.
